Kaplan Industries is a 2nd generation family business with memberships including IOMA, GAWDA, DEMA, ARW and HARDI. We are small enough to care for all of our customers and large enough to meet the needs of our most demanding ones. With Production facilities strategically located throughout the United States (Maple Shade, NJ, Harrison, OH). We can meet the requirements of our Mission Statement, to provide quick response programs that continue to serve our customers need efficiently, accurately, and safely.
Our new Production facilities are state of the art. The New Jersey facility was refurbished in 2010, with a new 350 station paint line being added to the site. We also obtained a 250 ton press to enable us to produce embossed collars onsite. Our newest facility (2012) in Harrison, Ohio is capable of producing 5,000 cylinders per week. It boasts a completely encapsulated, 500 unit paint line, capable of producing two-tone paint schemes with perfect cut lines. Our inline production process allows us to provide final assemblies faster than anyone in our industry. The new facility sits on a 16 acre site with over 100,000 square feet under-roof with over five acres of concrete piers for external storage.
Our Customer Service Department is second to none! The cutting edge technologies used in our office allows us to track orders in production and provide accurate information with the click of a mouse. DEAN KAPLAN – CEO
Dean Kaplan, the son of the company’s founder Morris Kaplan, has been employed with Kaplan Industries for over 30 years. He currently holds the position of CEO and is also the co-owner of Kaplan Scuba, Blue Steel Scuba and Midwest Cylinder. Dean is also on the Board of Directors at a local community bank.
RITA KAPLAN – President
Rita Kaplan, the daughter of the company's founder Morris Kaplan, has been working in the family business since 1984. She currently holds the position of President and is also the co-owner of Kaplan Scuba, Blue Steel Scuba and Midwest Cylinder.
JIM JOHNSTON – Vice President
In 1996, after a 20 year career in fabric finishing, Jim joined Kaplan Industries to help revitalize production. In his current role as Corporate Vice President, Jim is responsible for both sales and production for the Kaplan family of companies.
PAUL O'NEAL - VP Operations
On October 1, 2015 Kaplan Industries, Inc. announced the appointment of Paul O'Neal to VP Operations, Ohio Production Facility in Harrison, OH. O'Neal brings more than 36 years of industry experience to Kaplan Industries. He most recently served as VP Technical at Cyl-Tec. Prior to that, he worked 26 years in the Huntsville, AL manufacturing facility in sales of specialty products, technology and product development under various ownerships to include Coyne Cylinder, Thermadyne Industries and Taylor-Wharton.
JUDY FREEDMAN – Controller
Judy Freedman has worked at Kaplan Industries since 2004 as Controller. Judy is responsible for all day to day accounting, transactions, production of all financial statements, and the general management of her team.
Bud Allen –
VP of Marketing
Bud is responsible for Implementing new marketing strategy and concepts, coordinate advertising and focusing
on current and new customer relationships to promote existing and new product offerings as Kaplan Industries continues to position itself as a leader
in the Industrial cylinder market.
Beau Papania –
Director of Sales
Effective July 1, 2017 Beau will serve as director of sales managing the sales force while retaining his sales responsibilities in the Northeast Sales region.
as well as his international accounts
Beau served as Central Regional Sales Manager for Sherwood Valve, LLC and prior to that spend time with Superior Products in a marketing position
as Sales Manager. Beau has a business and communications degree from John Carroll University.
